I know what it takes for the State of Nevada to succeed. It takes hard work, ingenuity and accountability. It takes experience in setting priorities and making the most of opportunities and resources.

I am a Certified Fraud Examiner who knows how to hunt down waste, fraud and abuse. I audit government agencies and know where they lack accountability. I played a critical role in developing a program to monitor defense contractors that saved the taxpayers a million dollars a day.

I am a Certified Public Accountant who can and will responsibly manage your tax dollars. I know how to cut through the nonsense and get you value of for your tax dollars.

I am a former educator who spent 10 years as an adjunct professor in a community college. I know what it takes to teach in a classroom.

I am a former Controller of a healthcare company. I understand the cost accounting involved with healthcare.

I am a committed member of our community. I am a founding board member of a non-profit dental health clinic serving Southern Nevadans in need. I am a youth mentor at Club Christ Ministries. I am an active participant in many community and political organizations.

My professional accomplishments include:

• Serving two Presidents (Clinton and Bush) by auditing the White House Travel Office and restoring sound financial practices to the organization
• Saving the American taxpayers over $1 million dollars a day in contractor waste, fraud and abuse in U.S. Navy shipbuilding by developing highly sophisticated, costing accounting models and contract monitoring programs
• Performing the close-out audit of the Panama Canal Commission to settle treaty obligations.
• Developing financial solvency models for the Armed Forces Retirement Home, which provides long-term care and assisted living for America's veterans
• Performing audits of many independent federal agencies, charter schools, non-profit organizations and private companies, guiding them toward sound financial practices.
• Serving as an adjunct professor of accounting for 10 years in community college
• Creating a multi-million-dollar network of businesses

• Masters of Science (1989) and Bachelors of Science (1986) in accounting from Binghamton University
