Andrew Martin is spent his lifetime active in making his community a better place. He has focused his efforts on mentoring and volunteering his financial expertise. Andrew serves on the Advisory Board of Helping Our Brothers and Sisters, a nonprofit that helps struggling veterans, particularly LGBTQ veterans who served active combat duty in Iraq and Afghanistan. He served as big brother in the Big Brother Big Sisters program including counseling prisoners set for parole in how to cope with life and become economically viable. While in the legislature, he visited local public schools and the Boys & Girls Club. He was an Associate Professor of Accounting in a community college for over 10 years.

Lending financial expertise included helping Dr. Mickey Finn navigate through maze of paperwork and financial projection for establishing a free dental clinic for the poor as a federally qualified health center. Andrew help elected governing board members of rural hospital district better understand financial reports and ask hard questions of executives and auditors. He has consulted pro bono with numerous other non profits and young prospective entrepreneurs, providing critical guidance.


Andrew Martin knows that Nevada’s economic health is too important for partisan politics. His entire career has been about fiscal responsibility, not party lines. That is why he has received accolades from President G. W. Bush’s administration as well as recognition from President Clinton’s office for his financial work with the White House Travel Office, Panama Canal Commission, and U.S. Department of Treasury. Andrew Martin is the only candidate with a history of working on both sides of the aisle and the qualifications necessary for the job to best represent the people of Nevada.
